From ice skating to gingerbread houses, no matter the age, there is an event for everyone to enjoy! Gingerbread Village & Holiday Art at City Place

Minutes from The Canopy, City Place offers family-friendly events and entertainment on the Plaza throughout the year. During the holidays, beginning with the annual tree lighting ceremony and opening of the Gingerbread Village on December 1, 2024, City Place Plaza becomes a winter wonderland. 

At the Gingerbread Village, enjoy a stroll down a trail decorated with giant candy canes, gumdrops, and cookie trees leading right to a life-sized gingerbread house and windmill.

Free to the public of all ages and dogs, this winter wonderland spectacle is a moment to enjoy. Plus, it makes for great Instagram photo-ops!

Celebrate the Holidays in The Woodlands

Just a short drive from The Canopy, The Woodlands is decked out for the holidays! Enjoy a great time ice skating at The Woodlands Ice Rink. Open Nov. 16 through Jan. 20, the rink includes a state-of-the-art sound system and plenty of space for parties. Ice skating can burn a lot of calories, so be sure to fuel up at the concessions!

One of the best things about the holidays is all the beautiful lights and that is one thing The Woodlands has plenty of. Experience the magic of the season by visiting Market Street in Lights at night to watch the 70-foot-tall Christmas tree light up before your eyes! Beginning with the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony Nov. 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and continuing every hour on the half-hour from 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. daily, you can enjoy a beautiful, synchronized light show with your favorite holiday tunes.

Market Street in Lights makes for a perfect date night or photo-op with your family. Market Street offers dozens of restaurants and shops to browse while walking along reveling in all the holiday magic. No matter which activity you choose in The Woodlands, you are sure to have a great time experiencing the joy of the season.

Create Memories at A Holiday to Remember

Located at the Valley Ranch Town Center in New Caney, A Holiday to Remember is brought to you by the East Montgomery County Improvement District. Open Dec. 13-22, 2024, this holiday event provides all the family fun you can imagine! Race your friends down an icy slide or test your skills on the Interactive Floor Experience. Kids can take a photo with Santa Claus. If you need some unique last-minute gifts or stocking stuffers, shop the Market Days on December 13–15 and 20-22. You will find an array of rare and memorable gifts this season. Market Days offers plenty of opportunities to find the perfect gift! But wait…there’s more! Enjoy ice skating, train rides, a classic car show, and a ride on the giant rocking horse. Don’t forget to write a letter to Santa, eat your weight in sweets, and take tons of selfies at the selfie stations.
